I don't know who to ask. Hope a builder would know. Thanks you.
Can you convert a stick carport into a motor home carport? Attached to the side of house? The roof would be taller than the house roof.

We tried to add a carport for my truck and the problem we had is when you attach it to the house you need permits and plans and the cost goes way up!! Call your local building dept and ask them, they will tell you what you can and cannot do before you get started. Hope this helps!

Yes, check local building codes. You would likely need to "beef up" the supports due to the possibility of increased wind and snow load.
