Recommendations for electric nail gun
I'm interested in purchasing a nail gun, but don't want the hassle of an air compressor and all that entails. Looking for a quality product at a cheaper price. What electric nail gun would you recommend?

Melinda on Nov 30, 2015Hi! I have a compresser and an electric stapler. I would encourage you to get the compressor because you can use brad nails anywhere from 5/8 inches to 2 inches long so you can use it for anything from smaller crafts to house hold renovations and the brad nails are cheap and they come in one long piece so easy to use. Also, you can use the compressor to fill up bike tires, car tires (here in Canada we have to pay $1-$2 for the air pump at most gas stations) plus its way more convenient to have it at home than to walk a bike with a fat to the gas station. You can also use it to fill any air mattress etc with that type of opening. The adapters make it easy to change. You can also use it to make spray painting a million times easier, spraying water to clean patios etc, check out Jane Drill's video http://seejanedrill.com/air-compressor-article/ The compresser I have is a Porter. Its the small red one. Its light to carry and I just wind up the air hose and secure with a bungy cord. I use the staple gun too but I wouldn't be without the air compressor -besides if you end up not using it you can sell it easily on kijiji, craig's list etc. Hope this helps!Helpful Reply

Lori Johansen on Dec 03, 2015I struggled a bit with the choice as well, but would never buy anything NOT pneumatic now, Much more power. Look for great deals. I picked mine up from Lowe's for about $70 AND it came with the nail/staple gun.Helpful Reply

Sharon on Dec 04, 2015If you go to your local big box Menards, Lowe's Home Depot etc - there are many electric and battery operated ones. My husband has the compressor one- but he has heard some positives about the electric one. The battery one sounds like each battery has some many shots in it and then you have to replace the battery.Helpful Reply
