Recycled Jar Luminaries

I'm in the habit of savings jars. I try not to get too carried away, but I always have a little stash of a few clean recycled jars around for storing my DIY mixtures or for using in crafts. I recently put some of those little jars to good use by turning them into luminaries for the holiday season.
Not only did I save money by using recycled jars, I made my own mod podge (a simple mix of equal parts white glue and water) and bought my other supplies at the dollar store (epsom salt and votive candles).
This quick craft is simple enough for kids to help too. It starts by brushing a coat of mod podge onto the outside of the jar.
You then roll the jar in the epsom salt to cover it.
Once everything dries, you can put a small votive candle in each jar. When you light the candle you will get a soft sparkly glow from your luminaries. (And it will only cost you a couple bucks!)
