Getting a new sink for my bathroom. What is the best kind of material for a sink?
-
ReTouch Design-Build-Renovate on Mar 15, 2013There are literally dozens of good options available for a lavatory sink. The one that is right for you will depend on your budget and your aesthetic. I am assuming you are meaning undermount and that you are referring to the bowl and not the top? A great budget option would be a seamless white cultured marble or onyx top that has an integral bowl. Another common option would be porcelain that is undermounted to another material. Does that help?Helpful Reply

Jhmarie on Mar 09, 2016Avoid a vessel sink. I have come across too many people having trouble with them. Specifically, when washing hands the water splashes out of the sink too much creating a mess on the counter. One person reported that just the force of the faucet was splashing water out of the sink.Helpful Reply

The stain around the drain won’t come off w/scrubbing pads or pumice stone. It’s a tough stain. Seems to be embedded.
