Hi everyone! This past week I shared our Christmas tour with you and in our family room we added something special to our fireplace mantel and coffee table. Cedar post houses for Christmas!!! I am back today to share how we made them but I am also excited because I am sharing our cedar post houses with (A blog hop, hosted by Hometalk.com & Country Living.com!!!! Woo Hoo:). If you have any questions that are not answered in this post please visit the link to my blog at the end of this post:).
Just recently I have been seeing these simple and beautiful post houses online and in magazines. I loved how simple they are but wanted to make some a little fancier but also more personal.

*The special more personal thing we did with these houses is we made one to represent each house we have lived in together. You can click on each house name (on my blog) and take a tour of each house to see the how true to the original house we were*
The first thing we did was cut the wood to make sure it would not be too tall for our fireplace mantel.
After assembling the cedar post houses the way we wanted them to look I drew on windows and doors so they would match our houses perfectly. For more detailed pictures and step by step instructions on how we created these houses be sure to click on the link below and it will take you to our blog, Lehman Lane.
