Rewiring a lamp with a 3-way switch
Can anyone point me to easy-to-follow instructions for replacing a 3-way switch inside a metal pedestal lamp that's the kind you touch to turn on? I have 4 of them, and getting them professionally repaired is far more than they're worth, but I like and want to keep them. They have a felt disk on the bottom that I'm probably going to have to cut off and replace, too, so complete instructions for someone who's never done this would be great.
Simple metal pedestal, touch it anywhere and it's a 3-way lamp.
The bottom seems to be just a flocked cardboard disk.
