Lazy Susan Painted With a Christmas Tree Design

While I was working on projects for the Home for Christmas blog hop, I found this Lazy Susan kit at our local Home Depot on Black Friday and decided to give it a try.
The Lazy Susan on display at Home Depot had a snowman theme but I decided to make mine with a stained background and some modern cone shaped Christmas tree, which seem to be a theme with me this year.
For the Lazy Susan, you need to purchase an 18" round pre-cut pine circle or cut one of your own. You will also need a Lazy Susan hardware kit found at Home Depot.
I created several templates in various sizes for the cone shaped trees and moved them around on the wood circle until I liked the design. I then traced the design and templates onto the wood with a pencil.
The details were totally free form and made up as I went along. I wasn't making this as a gift so I embraced the imperfections as I went along.
My husband installed the Lazy Susan hardware with a drill. The kit came with easy to follow instructions.
Now I have a unique Christmas decoration for my kitchen table and a fabulous new Lazy Susan.
