Repurpose Some Old Badminton Shuttlecocks Into Festive Angel Wings

Easy
My family is badminton mad, hence I have bag fulls of badminton shuttlecocks. I'm always looking for things to do with them. This week I made a festive Christmas decoration of angel wings from them.
All you need is some used Badminton Shuttlecocks, scissors, glue, pegs, a bit of old cardboard and spray paint if you want to colour them.
Firstly cut the cork end off the shuttlecock and open out the feathers.
Glue three sets of feathers together for each wing and then trim into shape. I use pegs to hold the feathers together as they dry.
Cut a heart out of the cardboard and glue to the front of the wings
You can leave your wings as they are or spray paint them as I have done.
Not only do these look great as a Christmas wall hanging. They can be used as a Christmas tree decoration. I plan to use mine as place name holders on the Christmas table by writing people's names on the hearts. You can find more details on my blog http://www.pillarboxblue.com/upcycled-shuttlecock-angel/
