Meredith Wouters on Dec 12, 2015I do not think they're too low, nor do I think they're too big. They look elegant and graceful, and I like the way they just barely dip below the ledge. I think when they're all on, they'll look great! Send after pics!Helpful Reply

Leslie Lazzarini on Dec 12, 2015Beth, I'm afraid you may be stuck with it, bless his heart. I would be ecstatic if my husband picked up any tool to fix something! I just redid my kitchen design and new cabinets and honestly had to look at them to remember where they were placed. I have become so oblivious to these little things in just 4 months.Helpful Reply

Susan Bechamp on Dec 12, 2015I wouldn't change the position either. Looks fine as is. It would look worse to have holes in the doors if he raised them higher.Helpful Reply

Maureen on Dec 12, 2015They are fine. Do not change them. The holes would make you crazy. At least your husband does things.....Helpful Reply

Katrina Warren on Dec 12, 2015@Beth I know they aren't exactly where you wanted them, but they look fine & I think in a short while the placement would not bother you at all. I would leave them where they are as it's unlikely that the holes would be perfectly concealed even after filling sanding, painting etc... & at least for me that would bother me more than the handles staying where they are.Helpful Reply

Marion Nesbitt on Dec 13, 2015Personally think they would look weird if placed higher.Helpful Reply

Pam Walker on Dec 13, 2015Sorry to say that you're like me, just being picky. I suffer from OCD & if I want them a certain way & my husband did it wrong by my standards, I'd just redo them myself & be done with'em or either I woulda marked where I wanted them first before turning over the project to him. :)Helpful Reply

Beth Burke-Rudd on Dec 13, 2015They are perfect where he placed them, as a less than tall person handles placed any higher are useless and just cause finger marks on the cabinets from people too short to reach the handle.Helpful Reply

Kathy on Dec 13, 2015I agree with most.. After a few weeks you wouldn't even notice they are a little low. I think they are just fine. In my experience the holes may be more noticeable. I Would prefer they looking perfect from an installation point of view than be raised up with holes filled in. Don't sweat the small stuff! What a nice husband who is willing to do whatever you want. Happy wife happy life! LolHelpful Reply

Jeanette S on Dec 13, 2015Let it go! The kitchen is done and it looks clean, new and great...what more is there to ask for? Great job! (And think of it this way...if the handle is easier for you to reach, you will not scratch up the painted finish with your fingernails!)Helpful Reply

Mickey Baron on Dec 13, 2015If he's offering to redo it, & before he does them all... BRING THAT UP. But that's only me. I'd have to be looking at that & It would drive me nuts to! P.S. I love those handles.Helpful Reply

Duv310660 on Dec 13, 2015redrilling and patching 2 holes is not hard to do; he offered to do it; you've both learned to 'measure twice and drill once' (or at least check with your partner first!). Get them where you're sure you want them. That having said, your handles look ultra modern/sleek for such a simple rustic door design. But I am not seeing 'the big picture' - just close-ups!Helpful Reply

Bonnie on Dec 13, 2015I'm in the minority I'm sure, but I think they actually look BETTER than they would if they were perfectly aligned with the trim (which would be too rigid in my opinion). Even so, I think Dan has a good point.Helpful Reply

Sheila D on Dec 13, 2015Seems if handles are at the top, might be too high to reach. Most home improvement stores show towards bottom of doors.Helpful Reply

Susan Proskin on Dec 13, 2015I think it looks fine, but if they were raised slightly then it would be more pleasing to the eye. It is often the little things that matter. Your husband sounds like a keeper.Helpful Reply

Gar2275764 on Dec 13, 2015Looks like I'm the one in the minority, but to me it looks unbalanced, and it would nag at me every time I looked at it. I'd have to raise them.Helpful Reply

Beth on Dec 13, 2015As you can see from the last picture I posted, my husband was emboldened by the answers I read him last night so he went ahead and did the rest in the original position. He is now asking where to put the drawer handles on the larger drawers. I bought all the same handles and my first thought was naturally to put them in the middle of the smaller drawers but what about the larger ones? I was thinking of putting the handles on the large drawers the same distance down from the top of the drawer as the small ones. Although they won't be in the middle, it would make for much less much bending over to open. Any thoughts on this new dilemma?Helpful Reply

Johnnye Denman on Dec 13, 2015Actually, it would make me nuts too being placed that low. The effect seems "off." If he was willing to re-do it and could fill the holes properly,I'd say to let him! However, I only saw this today, so my answer is too late! I hope you enjoy the cabinets as they are.Helpful Reply

L_j2622658 on Dec 13, 2015It is your kitchen. I imagine you will spend much more time there than he will. You need to be comfortable and not walk in every day seeing something that "jars" you. Besides your husband sounds great---willing to put the handles anywhere you wish. Move the handle!Helpful Reply

Connie on Dec 13, 2015If he is willing to accommodate you, then please allow him to move it. Otherwise, I am sure that he will hear about it again & again. Just make the move and get it over with so that both of you have some peace.Helpful Reply

Lesley on Dec 13, 2015Yep, move them. I would be the same, they need to be 'just so' and lets face it, you will spend more time in there than him. And I bet he will appreciate how thankful you will be.Helpful Reply

Jeani Miller Miner on Dec 14, 2015some things don't matter, but some things, like this that you see every single day do matter. I'd ask him to re-position. One thing to be certain of is the the handles aren't too close to the door edges or you won't be able to get your fingers in between them.Helpful Reply

Liliana Wells on Dec 31, 2015I think you are being too picky. Since the handle has already been installed, if your husband moves it up, what are you going to do with the other hole? Just saying, there are more important things to worry about during the holidays. Happy New Year.Helpful Reply
