Silver Bell Bottles...

Even though I have had several craft project failures, I decided to give it one more try. What can I say, I'm a glutton for punishment! :-)
On my Pinterest board, I have several DYI projects for Mercury Glass Mason Jars. But I didn't want to do mason jars because I love my little blue mason jars and have no desire to change their color. And I didn't want to go out and buy new mason jars for this project.

During one of our snowstorms, when I had cabin fever, I convinced the hubster to take me to Walmart to make a purchase...or two. While there, I found these cute little bottles and decided they would be perfect for my project. I also purchased the other materials I would need.
These bottles can be found at Walmart and are so inexpensive. Truly!
On the Kindergarten Difficulty Scale or KDS, this project rates about a 2. If you can press a button, you too can have these little jewels in your home.
I really do like this better than the regular mercury glass look. I knew I would be using them to hold silverware and wanted them to stand out rather than blend in.
You can always add more coats of the paint or less coats. As I found out, there is no right or wrong to this technique!
Enjoyed the project?

These are really beautiful - much nicer than regular mercury glass. They have a rich look about them. Great job.

Agree!! So rich and crisp looking…but still, it’s definitely an old and antique look. I love this! Also, GREAT to know that Anchor Hocking sells these little bottles. I love the emblem on the front. Beautiful job!! 👍😊

Instead of purchasing these-why not use the Starbucks iced coffee and frappachino bottles to recycle?
DId you use the vinigar in between each coat on 3 and 4? Super cute! I am getting a farmhouse table this week and think I might use them as Center pieces!
Cuute! Where could I find the crate?
