Nature Inspired Christmas Decor in the Family Room
Nature was my inspiration this year when it came time to decorate our family room for the holidays.
The nature inspired theme tied in nicely with the blues and greens that I already had in the room. In this year's Christmas decor I used simple faux pine garlands and branches, pine cones as well as several birds nests throughout the room. I also added Audubon prints from a book that I have to the frames above the mantel to help tie the theme and room together.
One thing that I love to decorate with all year long is mercury glass. It looks especially pretty during the holidays when it sparkles with the reflection of the Christmas lights.
Some of the decorations will be packed away after Christmas, but I plan to leave some of the garland and lights in place until after the New Year.
