What type of paint should I use to paint canvas?

I've got a log carrier that needs the canvas painted. I'm thinking that I should keep it the same blue color. I don't want to use dye as it is just too messy. Thanks!

It seems that chalk paint works well on fabrics. Everyone is using it on their chairs and sofas these days. Good luck!

You can use ordinary fabric fabric paint which is less expensive found at crafts stores.

I've used chalk paint bought from Joanne's to spruce well loved items. It comes in many colors, fairly easy to get and less expensive as some of the other chalk paints.
