My boy would LOVE a tree house
-
Katrina Warren on Dec 21, 2015@Polly Zieper I don't think he's too old, I'd love to have a treehouse big & fancy, or small & simple, & I'm 57yrs old! (sssshhhh....... don't tell anyone how old I am) Build it on stilts... check google, or pinterest for lots of ideals! P.S. my daughters old playhouse formerly belonged to another girl (much older than our daughter) who gave it to us when she went off to college! The original owners of the playhouse lived just off a creek that often floods in Middleburg, Fl. & it was built 25ft up in the air on stilts! It was quite a feat to cut it down safely & move it to our backyard!Helpful Reply

MN Mom on Dec 21, 2015Never too old for a cool hangout! Would you consider a "fort" rather than a treehouse? Something like a potting shed could be used now and even up to his teen years ( jr. man cave). Home stores have sheds available and I've seen awesome use of space making them into outdoor living areas.Helpful Reply

Carole on Dec 21, 2015Build a cubby house in the garden instead. Maybe you could construct something around it to look like a fake tree house - imitate tree branches around it somehow using lumber?Helpful Reply
