DIY Chalk Paint / Chalkboard Painted Interior Back Door

We made our own chalkboard paint and used it on our back door to create a giant chalkboard... great for writing things you need to remember on your way out the door on the morning. The turquoise door adds some fun and energy to the laundry room / mud room as well. We used Benjamin Moore's Ash Blue mixed with a water/plaster of paris mixture to create this paint. I never knew, but it's one of those light bulb moments ;-/ , that you can use any color to use as a chalk board. Sorry just ole school thinking here. But I do like that color choice and door looks nice.
