Late last fall a neighbor gave me some amaryllis bulbs but I forgot I had them and never planted them. Here they are, in

the plastic bag he gave them to me in. Can I plant them now or have they dried out too much? I figure since they still have some green on them, maybe they can be planted?

Bulbs are remarkably resilient, Louise, so, especially if they've been stored in a relatively cool place I would certainly give them a shot. Give them a squeeze to make sure they feel firm and not spongy.

@Louise I would definitely plant them - nothing ventured nothing gained. Since they a showing growth it is a good sign that you will a few beautiful plants in no time at all. Post a pic of the wonderful blooms you will have. Thanks for posting.

Cross your fingers that I get blooms. Nothing else blooms very well in my yard anymore. I might need an exorcism done on it. :-)

They don't look too dried out. There are green shoots, life on them. Definitely give them a chance.
