Her Home: Kitchen Remodel

I am writing a series on how my Sister, Heather and I managed to turn an abandoned 1910 Victorian into the beautiful home of her dreams. See how we created a designer home on a single Mom budget with items purchased from big box hardware stores, antique shops and flea market finds.
Unconventional kitchen lighting, this chandilier was purchased at Lowes. It is the centerpiece of the whole kitchen, an island will sit beneath it.
This is the before picture, We pulled out all of the lower cabinets, flooring and backsplash.
New kitchen cabinets, floors almost done sink dry fitted, temporary plywood countertops.
Fridge in place cabinets and flooring still in need of finishing but it's come a long way since the before picture.

I am impressed by your progress. That great little chandelier is an inspiration of how far you've come and lights the way to the finish!!! We all need those kinds of whimsy in our lives!! You have done a fantastic job. Can't wait to see more!

VERY nice kitchen ! I love the chandelier over the island idea. I'm debating whether to put my pot rack or my chandy above MY island ! (I'm also debating whether to tear down yet ANOTHER wall, but I'm afraid the roof will cave in ! LOL)
