DIY Pastel Painted Eggs for Easter

Sometimes the best holiday decor is the simplest. Happy Easter to you and yours!
While I don't decorate for every holiday on the calendar, at Easter I love to incorporate a simple touch on my table or mantel.
This year I had a dozen wooden eggs just calling my name. You can find these at any craft or hobby store. For mine, I was thinking a little spring color and a little typography would be just the thing for these sweet little eggs.
I mixed up some pastel colors using off white chalk paint and several bright chalk paint samples.
Once I had the colors I wanted, I used foam brushes to paint each egg. I did three eggs in each of the four colors.
Once they were dry, I pulled out my alphabet stamps and stamp pad and got to work.
I stamped each message on a set of 3 eggs, so now I have a set of each for my own decor and a set of each to give as gifts! The imperfections in the stamping add a personal touch.
Add a little moss in a dish or shallow bowl to create a nest and tuck in your eggs, making sure your stamped message shows. If your eggs are flat on the bottom, you could stand them up, too.
