Mary Insana on Mar 28, 2013For the wood trim I have all over our house my go-to friend to fill the gaps is CLEAR caulk. I do what you do but in reverse. First I put my clear caulk along the baseboard or around the door trim, do the wipe with damp finger and damp rag thing :) then let it dry. Then when its time to paint I put the painters tape along the trim and paint the wall all the way down to the clear caulk. If I had white trim I would be doing it the way you do :)
