Securing dishwasher to granite countertop

KMS Woodworks on Mar 30, 2013One of the more common methods is to install a "filler" strip of wood. This wood is about 1/4 to 3/8 of in inch thick and runs the length of the opening. The front and bottom of this are often painted in a color that is similar to the color of the granite. for installation this wood is installed before the dishwasher goes in. It is "glued" to the underside of the granite using construction adhesive or epoxy. simple clamps hold it tight to the underside of the granite until the glue cures. once in place some small screws can be used to attach the "clips at the top of the dishwasher.Helpful Reply

Use stainless steel screws to avoid rusting and you may want to drill a pilot hole first since ss screws are softer alloy.Helpful Reply
