Woodbridge Environmental Tiptophouse.com on Jan 09, 2012Donna there are several products that you can purchase at most auto stores to help pick up the greasy stain that has occurred. Kitty litter works well when its still wet. Your biggest issue is that once this stuff cools down it becomes a solid once again. While most cleaners will soak the oily surface material up, they will do little to pull up what has soaked into the asphalt itself. You will find in the spring and summer this stain will reappear as the driveway warms up and the solid oils revert back to liquid as it gets hot. When that happens you need to be prepared to soak it up with the kitty litter or what ever product it is that you purchase from the auto store. Pouring boiling water on the area then soaking it up can rush this a bit, but summer is not that far away, I hope, so you may be better off waiting for that time to come around.Helpful Reply

Trish on Oct 26, 2015Take Clay cat litter...like Johnny Cat. Pour in on the oil stains. Put on your worst pair of tennis shoes or what ever shoes you wish. And do the "twist" while standing on top of the litter. That litter will absorbe everything!! Works every time. An old trick from my Dad to clean up the cement driveway. Non toxic, sweep up. You you are done! Kids love to help too.Helpful Reply
