Mirror Revamp

I worked as a sales support associate for a certain retail store many moons ago. In that time I inherited many props and items used for displays and window treatments. One of which is a square 12 1/2" x 12 1/2" mirror with big ole' silicone blobs on the back from where it was adhered to a wall. I've cleaned up the front but I now what to antique the mirror. Problem is the silicone. Does anyone have any tricks for removing it?

Hey, I think you're out of luck! When you said 12 1/2" I hope you did not mean feet! I would just frame it, hang it and then put other stuff around it...perhaps a nice shelf underneath with candles in front and use the mirror to reflect.

What did you do with these? I would love them! I am planning on getting some and putting them inside the back of the book cases I have and then using them as a cabinet for our cobalt blue glassware collection so they will reflect the beauty of them. Can't wait to start!
