Get Sneaky: 7 Subtle Storage Ideas

When it comes to marriages and taxes, being sneaky isn't a great idea. But storage is a different story! If your closets are overflowing and your drawers are jam packed with stuff, it may be time to take a walk on the subtle side. If you know where to look, you'll find tons of untapped storage real estate in your home!
Here are seven storage ideas you probably haven't tried yet:
A new shelf on a high wall. Check out your living room or bedroom wall. Now, picture a shelf on it (near the top). Makes sense, right? If you have high ceilings, install a sturdy shelf above your head. Place a few baskets on the shelf and store anything from off-season clothes to holiday décor. Note: This works particularly well above doors because the shelf won't visually break up the wall.
