I have been thinking about making another table lamp? So I thought make a rustic one, unusual one maybe, or maybe a one off one!
So I went to our local B&Q to buy some bits to make the lamp, I already have lots of wood so don't need to buy that, I just need some other materials, so I thought COPPER! It looks good and is readily available anywhere? So this is what I finished with, what do you think?
I made two as one was a prototype
The round base around the copper pipe is made of oak, which I turned on my lathe.

The cable is gold braided twisted 3 core which you can order online
The pipe is 22mm copper, with 1no angle joint and 1no 22mm straight reducer too 15mm and a 22mm cap at the end
The bulb is an Edison bulb which you can buy online
The main base is made of two pieces of pine, with a piece of oak sandwiched between them, waxed and polished

Thanks, I think it looks better than the photos show as it is hard to take a photo of a light when it is on?

Copper is one of my favorites. Love the mid-century style of these!!

I really like your idea. Copper is warm and tactile for me. Would even work for mason jar fans. I applaud your ability to work with electricity, that is the one thing I pass to my hubby. So far I have blown up 4 cordless phone systems by touching them while they are ringing, just call me Sparky..
