Make Your Own Pom Pom Garland

Easy
The easiest way to add that cozy feel we all crave in the winter, is by adding texture and layers in neutral colors to your current decor. It adds interest, without adding a lot of extra visual clutter.
This pom pom garland is made from super soft yarn that adds the perfect warm and cozy feel to our living room. You won't believe how easy it is to make!
All you need is yarn (the thicker/chunkier the better), scissors, and just a little bit of time. Start by winding your yarn around your hand, I wrapped it around about 70 times to get the fullness I wanted. (It may take a little testing to get the size of the pom poms you are looking for; try wrapping the yarn around a small piece of cardboard for smaller pom poms, or more or less times to adjust the fullness.)

What brand of yarn did you use for this project in the photos? I love the silky sheen to it and it looks softer than Redheart or other brands... Thanks! Bonnie

So cute and looks like snowballs!! Also, is that Rosemary twigs in your rusty springs?

I have made pom poms. I have read your directions and do not follow them. My way is not hard. My mother that does all types of needlework. Please correct me if I am wrong. 1. Wrap yarn around cardboard or hand. 2. Tie a length of yarn in the middle of the loop. You will have two loops at this point. Holing the tied yarn cut the ends of each side in half in half on the end . 3. Then holdings onto the yarn tight shake it hard and it forms the pom pom. TrIm it all the way around until you have it exactly how you want it to look. The difference in mine and yours is mine is twice as thick. I hope this makes sense to you. If not I will Sen you pics. Just let me know. Happy crafting xm

I don't know if you are aware but you can buy pom pom makers at a craft/fabric store. I got mine at Jo-Anns and used my 40% off coupon. Can't remember the exact cost but I know for sure it was under $10. You get two sizes in the package.
