Tattered Hutch Gets New Life. Dark Blue and Gold a Love Story.

I've had this old girl for over 3 years now. She was missing pieces, scratched and broken. Like a lot of us, but with faith, love and "paint" we can all shine again!
I had to remove the scroll work on the right side to match what was missing on the left door and used a curtain rod final to replace the center decorative piece. Lots of cleaning, she had been neglected and smelled like an ashtray so I took extra time to strip the nicotine away with vinegar and water.
I then painted her with two coats of a 50/50 mixture of Shabby Paints Marine Blue/Licorice. It makes a beautiful deep dark navy blue. After that dried I distressed her then applied one coat of our Shimmer Paint called Ben's Blue. To protect the top from everyday spills I applied one coat of our Pearl reVAX. She is new again!!
The LORD is near to the brokenhearted And saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18
