Updating 50's Cabinets

I just bought a new (to me) home and the kitchen had been redone with glass backsplash tiles, granite and all new SS appliances. However.....,
Each and every cabinet had this curly-q trim at the bottom which was the bottom board of the cabinets - in other words, if I would have taken them out, I would have had to replace the cabinets. So......
Off the Lowe's I went and bought this flatter moulding at $3.15 per 8' piece, a miter saw, Gorilla Glue, some small clamps and Frog tape. Here goes.....
I cut each piece to match the length of the cabinet, glue on the back and attached it with tape and clamps. You will notice the moulding had a slight wood grain to it and attempts to paint it were not working. So, I used chalk paint in a color matched to a drawer front that I took to the store with me.
Ta-da!! I know have a little more modern cabinet to go along with all of the new additions. I can live with it now.
