DIY Salvaged Wood Lamp

I took a simple linen lamp shade from Wayfair.com and transformed it into this fabulous mod salvaged wood table lamp using nothing but standard lumber, duck tape and a single color of paint.

Drill your holes for your cord and lighting kit.
Paint your lamp base using a watered down acrylic paint, layer color till it looks fabulous and let it dry completely.
Wrap your cord with duck tape.
Wire your lamp following the directions on your kit.
Paint or cover your shade with a color or fabric of your choice.
