Working With Bad Veneer
Veneer issues can sometimes be a little fix or sometimes they can be disaster. I've learned to just go with it. Removing Veneer can leave you with little gouges, scratches, & dents. See what little tool I used to turn a potential mess into a piece with lots of character.

I hate chipped veneer and removing it. I use a heat gun which helps but boy oh boy sometimes it is really really glued now. Might have to use your suggestion since it turned out so great!
