My Grandma used to make quince preserves. We had a quince tree on the farm and I used to ride my little horse to go fetch them for her.That is the only quince tree I have ever known of. Ah, times gone by! The preserves were wonderfully sweet and meaty.

OMG I haven't eaten a quince apple in years. I was a little girl. We ate them to see ourselves pucker.
