Just installed a new mantel

I just installed a beautiful distress dark cherry wood mantel over our real, but not to be used, fireplace. The whole room, including the fireplace will be painted a slight beige hue in the upcoming months. A painting is to be hang over the mantel. One or two tall vases contain reeds will go on the hearth. Back to the matter at hand. An antique mantel clock along with a few other items may go on the mantel shelf.
Attached photos: One of the current fireplace without fire screen, one with fire screen along with one of the advertisement for the mantel.
Dimensions:
Floor to ceiling is 8"
Fireplace is 67" wide
Firebox opening is 25" high X 35.5" wide
Mantel is 60" wide
Mantel shelf from hearth is 52.5"
Mantel is 15" high from corbel bottom to mantel shelf
We like the look of both the open firebox and firebox with a fire screen using nearly invisible screen wire. In our opinion, the fire screen help ground the mantel. In other words, unite the mantel, firebox and fire screen.
We would like to receive "your" comments and suggestions regarding the overall look and our upcoming decorations around the fireplace. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
