Months ago we had a tree fall on our house, lost the roof on down. After fighting with the insurance company all this time, repairs are being made now. My problem is this: What to plant or put in front of the new deck in the front of the house, that will look nice, but low maintenance is very important due to health issues. What would you put, how would you edge it? The only thing I have thought of so far is some short ornamental grasses along the front, maybe a brick edge? Low maintenance is so important and weeks run rampant here as I am in the woods. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Douglas - Wow you are awesome. I love your ideas, especially about the azalea's. I'll have to check out the other plants as I'm not sure what some of them are. Thank you so much for all your help, you have definitely given me food for thought.
