I am not an expert but it was a fun technique to try. The concept is simple but in the right hands the results can be stunning. Some folks make elaborate cards or wall hangings you can also make pretty beads which is what I did to make some earrings.
I started with an old recipe book.
Cut the pictures into 1/4 inch strips.
Rolled the strips around a tooth pick until I had the circumference I wanted.
Shaped the dicks into a dome.
Coated the inside and outside with white glue.
Glued two pieces together.
Sealed with clear fingernail polish.
And then added some small beads to make these earrings.
