Turn a Shower Curtain Into a Bed Comforter

My son has a very cute bedroom. We made several coordinating decorations, curtains, pillows, etc. etc. etc. But we made all these things either before he was born or when he was a wee little baby. Now that he sleeps in a toddler bed, he had no blanket for his bed that matched! [oh my goodness, right!?]
His bedroom inspiration came from a print that we saw on some items from Target. In fact, we liked this print enough to purchase a shower curtain for the extra bathroom.
I needed a filler of some sort, I didn’t want to buy anything and I didn’t want it to bulky. So I used a towel (perfect for a toddler, right? You know what I mean…).
I pinned everything in place and then sewed sewed sewed!!!
I got it all tucked on is bed and added his little pillows...AND I LOVE the way this turned out.

Oh my. Please keep in mind that a waterproof shower curtain is also airproof - suffocation is a possibility here.

It is a cloth shower curtain.

Was my first thought also. Kids sleep so deep and get tangled in their bedding.
