Has anyone chalk painted a freezer?

Janet Pizaro on Feb 03, 2016I really do not think chalk paint is a good choice for appliances.I would research appliance paint instead.Although many people are using this style I think it really is meant for furniture.Helpful Reply

MN Mom on Feb 03, 2016Carol research the paint you want to try. I'm sure the manufacturer has suggested material that they recommend (wood, tile, etc) as well as items that they do not recommend use on.Helpful Reply

Leslie D on Feb 04, 2016I've used chalk paint on multiple pieces of furniture, but don't think I would do it on a freezer. I imagine that if you sealed it with a clear coat, it may work, but if you're going to have to clear coat it, why not just use a paint meant for the surface? I, personally, would not trust it to hold up on a typical freezer surface.Helpful Reply

Marilyn Bates on Feb 04, 2016I rolled plain old latex wall paint on our almond colored 1970's spare frig. It looks great and has held up great too. It doesn't get constant use. I used turquoise paint to match the wall color in the laundry room. With red accents it's now a fun space.Helpful Reply
