Going, Going....Gone! *Bark Mulch Update*

These photo's demonstrate how one garden design replaces another as the seasons change.
I've been doing decorative bark mulch designs for years...instructions here: http://www.sowanddipity.com/decorative-bark-mulch/
When I first introduced this technique to the HomeTalk crowd, there was lot's of positive comments, but several dis-believers.... the idea that this design could last more than a week was a hard pill to swallow for some :)
But through wind, rain, snow cover, winter storms and thaw....the design endured. It was finally destroyed by something even more beautiful......

Catherine Smith on Aug 22, 2013WOW!! That is impressive and such a clever idea. Not really surprised at the nay-sayers, though, sometimes people just don't "get it" even when you show them. Occasionally, I've run into that mind set teaching composting classes, always startles me, but there's always got to be a couple. LOL
