How to Fake Crown Molding on a Budget

How to fake crown molding on a budget. Would you believe I did over 72 feet of 'faux' crown molding for around $110? I saved over $200 and that would have been just with a small crown molding. The contractor out there may shrug his shoulders and say "what the heck" but I live on a budget and I do not have thousands and of dollars to renovate a fixer upper that has drained me dry...
Anyone out there in the same boat? I bet there are and I have been slowly writing all my cheats and budget savvy tricks over on my blog. I do not get free materials, I do not stage my pictures, heck I am one of the messiest DIYers out there and I keep it real. Plus I am going to admit a big secret - I stink at cutting crown molding and quarter round.
This budget friendly crown molding cheat can help you hide ugly corners where the wall meets the ceiling. Crown molding adds value to your home but if you do not have it in your budget to buy the beautiful crown molding, then look what I did and see if it is something that can work for you. There are ways to cheat when it comes to trim and your local home stores usually carry these corner cheats.
Stop on over to see more of my crown molding cheat and my kitchen pictures and tell me what you think. I am always open for questions. Thanks for stopping by

Charlotte on Feb 08, 2016I am so glad I saw this post. We are about to re-do two bedrooms and this looks so elegant and easy enough for me and my hubby. Not to mention the low cost. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. People like you are the reason I love Hometalk!

Frequently asked questions
Have a question about this project?
Do you have a YouTube page to watch how you did this? That will help me more. I’m on a tight budget, VERY, VERY tight budget and any advice or help will be greatly appreciated. I’m a disabled female US Air Force and I’m not in the best of shapes to do this. I’d pay someone a fair price to help me. Thank you.
Where do I go to see how you did the crown molding?
