My Big Fat Greenhouse Project Part Deux

I know many of you are looking for the Greenhouse Project completion photos, but my hubs and I are pushing 50 something; so we can only do a few hours at a time. Add to that add the winter rain and the loss of our dear beloved son-in-law Dan we have not been able to work on it for the last 3 weeks. Today was the first day out and with the mud, after taking a nasty spill myself; we still managed to get the roof rafters in place. We did the frames for the skylights in the garage this morning before the frost gave way to sunshine. So here is the progress.
Front wall windows and door frame in place. We set the ridge beam before we headed to Chicago to be with our daughter and granddaughters after the sudden loss of their husband and father. I will definitely need to do something here as a memorial to a wonderful person, devoted husband and father and someone who truly had a faithful heart.
8' door opening the bottom 2 windows are stationary the ones that will sit above will be able to open out.
The rafters in place.
And now time to rest and pray. Life is good and no one is promised tomorrow so enjoy it. Don't Blink

So sorry for your loss, such difficult time for your entire family! A memorial would be a good healing project for all.

It looks very similar to what we made with several double-paned windows we got hold of (many for free! - I love Freecycle and Craigslist!). It worked very well until this past winter when something got in and literally denuded every plant in there, clear down to chewing through 1/4" thick hard stems on young trees! Ugh! We will start over soon. It's nearly planting time! I sympathize with your loss. I just lost my mother last month, and have had a very hard time doing ANYthing since then.
