Our new home came with a pond of some kind??
Also, we have a back deck. I am thinking that removing the deck and replacing it with a back patio would be much nicer. We live in a trailer though....would that even look right?

Douglas Hunt on Apr 28, 2013There are a lot of pond pros on Hometalk, so I'll leave the clean-out suggestions to them. Does there to be any type of pump/filtration system? If not, keeping the pond healthy and appealing looking is going to be a challenge. If you think a patio would be more appealing than I deck I say go for it. If you like it more you'll use it more and that's what it's all about really.Helpful Reply

KMS Woodworks on Apr 28, 2013most patios require less maintenance than a deck, so in the long run it can be worth it. Where decks outshine patios is for heavily sloped yards.Helpful Reply
