How to make adult bibs

My Mother in law is in and adult living facility and she keeps dropping food on her clothes...I want to make a couple of bibs for her...

    This may sound a little crazy but how about buying disposable bibs from the dollar stores. I purchased them for my niece awhile ago. They were not baby size as they actually cover the proper areas, Just a thought,

    As not to offend her, perhaps ask if that is something she would like to have. She might prefer a larger "lapkin" aka kitchen tea towel

    A kitchen towel can be easily made into a comfortable good-size bib. If you have any fabric scraps you can dress it up with appliques and use a strip across the bottom to act as a "tray" to catch those crumbs that can get away sometimes
