Painting stripes on a wall

Janet Pizaro on Feb 09, 2016Create your pattern with pencil on the wall then outline with painters tape(blue tape) in the paint department at Big Box Stores. Press the tape securely on the wall and then you are ready for painting.Helpful Reply

Jenn Marsh on Feb 09, 2016Paint your base coat first. I used a chalk line to help get the lines straight - I was impressed with how easy it was to use (though it helps if you have another person). For me, it was easier to see if it was straight (you can use a level) and then snap the line without trying to draw that long of a line with a pencil. Then, use tape on the lines (note you want to tape on the outside of the lines so your stripes are even.Helpful Reply
