The Striped Makeover of an Antique Wardrobe
by
Freckled Laundry (Jami)
(IC: blogger)
I found this antique wardrobe / armoire on Craigslist for $50. It was in ROUGH shape, but I instantly saw past it's chipped veneer, warped doors, and cigarette smoke patina! I painted a weathered white exterior with a fresh gray & white striped interior using a crackle technique and Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Paris Grey & Pure White.

Betty Johnson on Sep 16, 2015Those stripes really give this wardrobe some character. I really admire people that can see past the old, faded pieces of furniture to the potential underneath. The crackled paint gives it some nice texture as well. How long did it take to do this? http://www.hillsrobesandkitchens.com.au/wardrobes
