5 Ways to Get Organized Without Breaking the Bank
by
Quick and Dirty Tips
(IC: blogger)
You need these simple, inexpensive solutions.
When I work with clients who want to get their homes organized, one of the things I often hear is that they don’t want to spend a ton of money. Most people want to make their homes functional, but don’t want to have a large upfront cost. I’ve also had a number of clients who have been burned by the temptation of stocking up on cute, expensive organizing supplies, only to have their systems fall apart a few weeks later. After months (or years) of having stashes of pricey, yet not-quite-functional bins around their home, they have realized that buying expensive organizing supplies is not what will get their homes in order.
1.) Ikea 365+ Kitchen Storage
2.) Plastic Shoe Boxes
3.) Craft Store Baskets
4.) Adhesive Hooks
5.) Hanging Shoe Bags
And there you have it: my top inexpensive organizing items. They are easy to find, easy to use, but can make a major impact on the functionality of your home. Just like with any organizing project, though, make sure you don’t go out and just buy a bunch of organizing supplies. Sort through your items, and really figure out what you are going to store before purchasing any storage items. This will help you save money, as well as frustration because you’ll always have just the right size container for your organizing project.

Duv310660 on Feb 19, 2016We are updating the shelves in our 'pantry' that was originally a HUGE armoir. I opted to make the shelves not to deep and create shelving for smaller items just inside the doors - but wasn't sure about what measurements I will need for the new arrangement. Now I plan to use interim hanging shoe bags while I decide what will make the most sense to store on the inside doors - thanks very much!
