Making Light of Old Letters

I love old metal letters, but I especially love those that shine. This old letter was missing not only its lights, but the front as well. So, I decided to add some lights and cover it with some fabric to make a softer style light for my home.
Old letter "B"
Added lights
Lit it up!
Covered it with fabric
All decorated up!

Thank you for this post! I too bought these lights at a flea market. My husband and my initials. Was wondering best way to light them up. But mine do have the plastic color cover. How much heat do the bulbs give off? Would worry about the plastic melting since these are usually lit up with florescent bulbs. Guess I could do as you have done. Would go better with my decor. :)

Very cool. I wonder if fairy lights would work as well...
