Mom's Signature Recipe
by
Debbie M
(IC: homeowner)
My mom was famous for her Italian Crystals, a very fine fried pastry that was lightly coated with powdered sugar. She made them every year for Christmas. I thought it would be a great idea to frame her handwritten recipe.
I recently found her handwritten recipe card so I decided to frame it. I had a framed crewel project she made and that seemed the perfect backdrop. It is hanging in my kitchen where I can see it and think of her every day. I also have my grandmother's (her mother) wood handled bone pastry cutter that was often used when making these delicious treats, so I have that sitting on top of the frame (not shown).
