Woodbridge Environmental Tiptophouse.com on Feb 27, 2012You need to clean this grout and bleach it white again, then seal it using a good quality sealer. Moisture combined with dirt, soap or some other bio film is allowing the development of mold within the pores of the grout to develop. If it does not bleach out you will need to use a grout scraper and remove the offending area and replace the grout with new. They sell small pre-mixed grout at most home centers and tile suppliers.Helpful Reply

Terry M on Feb 27, 2012If it is just some of the grout, buy a Clorox pen and use it on the grout. Let it set for 10 to 15 minutes and then wipe clean. It will continue to lighten as it drys. Then purchase an easy bottle of grout sealer and apply as directed.Helpful Reply

Paul M on Feb 28, 2012The grout shield kit comes with a cleaner that will do the job. If you use bleach it will clean the grout sure enough but it will also weaken it and over time it will fail prematurely. The grout shield kit comes with every thing you need to fix your problem. We did it in three different rooms and it has been wonderful. Nothing stains the grout now and any thing that gets on there is easy to clean off, no more scrubbing.Helpful Reply

Paul M on Feb 28, 2012Terry the big box stores don't carry this product or anything like it, and I still wonder why. Maybe they just want to sell more grout. Anyway I got it direct from Grout Shields online. For what it does it is a very cost effective product and for the effort of one good scrubbing you will never have to scrub again. Here is the link: http://www.groutshields.com/groutcoloringkits.htm I can't say enough good things about their product. BTW if you want to they have several demonstration videos on youtube, I found them very helpful. Although when it comes time to wipe with the shammy they way they do I can't quite get it right so we just cleaned the excess off the tile by wiping the tile only, that worked very well. Good luck!!Helpful Reply
