what can you put apply to your deck so it isn't so slick?

What type of deck are we trying to make less slick?...PT wood, cedar, redwood, hardwood, trex, eon, timbertech, veranda, Fiberon?

Anti skid coating is the thing. You can also find this in anti skid tape. When you put it on a wood surface you most likely won't get more than two years or so out of it because of the expansion and contraction of the wood it won't stay on there. Other than that I have no idea.

I have know of some folks that will apply a "sand" like product to a freshly varnished or painted surface to provide a bit of traction. Personally I have never encountered any deck that was "too" slick. Tile around a pool is a different story....the smoothness of glazed tile + water.
