Signs of spring!

The first poppies to bloom in our yard. They are near the 'mine shaft' my husband built years ago.

I'm jealous. And what are you excavating in the mine shaft?

Nothin' just looks cool! My husband shipped a small barn door back to San Diego from his family's old farm in Michigan. He built the mine shaft around the door. There is a rusty milk pail and several bottles/cans from the farm and an old lantern someone gave us. The guy who did our lights even used a very old coffee can to hold an 'up' light that goes into the tree above.

What a welcome sight! (And we need to see some more photos of the mine shaft and up light.)

Will post photos once a few more plants start to bloom. Maybe I can get a good shot at night now though. Will try. And, thanks!
