Planting Pots of Grass for Spring Color

When the grass is still brown outdoors I love panting pots with grass seed to bring a touch of that beautiful green color to my indoor spring vignettes. They make me smile!
Many of the pots I use don't have drainage holes so I place 2 or 3 crushed soda cans in the bottom.
Then I fill the pot 3/4's full with Miracle Grow potting mix. I sprinkle a generous layer of grass seed. Any seed will do. I just buy the cheapest bag and it lasts me for 4-5 years. This seed was a tall fescue.
Cover lightly with more soil and pat down.
I place the pots in my kitchen window where I sprinkle them daily with my faucet spray nozzle.
In 10-14 days I have lovely pots of green, green grass.
Perfect addition to my Spring vignettes.

Oh, my!
I'm so happy to see your project!
I do that to add stuff to my "green corner". I thought I was kinda geek. Now that I feel supported by you, I'll add a few more pots😘
