HIgh quality of permeable cement sealer brand needed
When my studio structure was built 13 years ago the contractors used a product to seal the cement on an open back porch. This porch has a roof overhang but is open to the elements.
The finish was a low gloss that made the cement porch floor look rich, darker and beautiful as well as protected it. The "sealant" lasted for many years. About 5 years ago I noticed the edges of the porch cement are starting to crumble a little. So I decided to seal it again to protect it. When I tried to find the same brand a few years ago to reseal the cement again I was not able find the same brand. So I compromised and used a Menard's brand and the shine and glossy look lasted less than a season. It's a lot of work to empty, clean and then seal a large cement porch for just one season so this cheaper brand was very disappointing.
Contractors... what long lasting, high-quality brand of permeable cement sealant would you recommend and where can I find it? I live in a rural area but have access to a high quality lumber company and am an hour's drive from Lowes and Home Depot?

LD on Mar 10, 2016Most sealers found at your big box store hardware is usually only 1-2 year durability, there are sealers that the professional painters use that has a 5 year durabilty, but how about painting the patio floor instead. Here is a link to Behr which is good product and can be found at Home Depot, but it may be something that you have to order, but comes in over 200 colors. http://www.behr.com/consumer/products/floor-coatings-sealers-and-prep/behr-premium-porch-and-patio-floor-paint-low-lustre#BVRRWidgetIDHelpful Reply
