We all know how much I LOVE plants. But let's face it, it's one thing to love plants and it's another to have plants love you. You feel me? I have killed SO many plants. My biggest failure was when I bought a love fern for my brother and his new fiance, they needed me to babysit the fern and....ummmm....well....you guessed it. I killed the love fern!!! Fail. But anyways, let's talk about something happier- like how I can keep succulents and cactus alive. But today we want to get our hands dirty with the kiddos and cactus and kids certainly don't mix, until now that is. Photo Credit Anya McInroy Supplies: Pots Smooth oblong rocks Green Paint Filler (like rocks, rice, beans, etc) Sharpie paint pen Newspaper to paint on
Find your rocks, clean off any loose sand or gravel and get to painting! Cover the entire rock with paint. This is where the kiddos can get hands on with finger painting.
Sit back and allow the stones to dry.
Detail the stones with white paint pen Sharpie with a fun cacti design. Creating variety of designs helps to add character and texture for your new potted cactus garden. Stripes, polka dots, exes- you got it!
Cacti Rocks love succulent friends and other cacti rocks to form their own cacti tribe. :)
Cheers to a plant you WON'T kill! :)
